Have you heard? Fickle Friends are playing a piano session for BBC Radio 1.
‘When’s that then?’, you might ask. It’s tonight! 10:30pm, so synchronise your watches.
Yes, we’re very excited. Yes, you should be too. The Piano Session means that Fickle Friends get to do a cover alongside their own track, and this week they put out the call for suggestions on Twitter.
So question is….what do you wanna hear us cover in the piano session???? pic.twitter.com/P3xzUVX1i3

See?
Well, Reader, we have delivered. Below, for your listening pleasure, are six tracks we’d love Fickle Friends to cover.
Everything Everything – Night of the Long Knives
Fickle Friends themselves posted about this one on Twitter, saying “It’s too much. It’s too great. Fuck please play it at [Reading and Leeds].” Surely the best way to guarantee it gets played live is to cover it yourselves, right?
Paramore – Hard Times
This is an officially certified pop banger, and since Fickle Friends also deal in officially certified pop bangers, this one is a bit of a no-brainer. It’s great, they’re great, we’d love it.
Harry Styles – Sign of the Times
‘Sign of the Times’ is lovely, innit? Wouldn’t it be great to hear Natti Fickle Friends sing it in a lovely piano session? Yes, it would.
Sigrid – Don’t Kill My Vibe
‘Don’t Kill My Vibe’ is a masterclass in joyful defiance, and just the thing for tonight’s ‘day before GCSE results’ pre-game.
Years & Years – King
Years & Years included an excellent acoustic version of this one on the deluxe edition of ‘Communion’. The bar is set high, but we reckon Fickle Friends could do the track justice.
Pulp – Babies
‘Babies’ somehow manages to be shiny, touching and skeevy all at once, so flipping the whole thing on it’s head with a piano cover could be all kinds of brilliant.
