Check out this mesmeric live version of Pumarosa’s ‘Lion’s Den’

Debut album ‘The Witch’ is coming on May 18th, and it’s set to be an absolute essential one

Pumarosa deal in special moments. At every turn, it’s measured and delivered in a manner that has us captivated from the first note – and no better example of that is from their live show, as shown with a video of latest number ‘Lion’s Den’

Swaying and staggering with unbridled emotion, ‘Lion’s Den’ is a shining example of everything that makes Pumarosa essential. Beautifully orchestrated and built, it’s a towering example of a band in their absolute element – with the clip captured from their landmark headline night at London’s Village Underground last year.

Laid out with the clip, the band stated: “Lion’s Den is saying life is unfair because it has been made so. You and your destiny, what is possible to you, is being controlled. Some people are in the class or gang that are cashing in..most are not. And it’s a struggle. I’m not talking about happiness, I’m just talking about practical things. You have to be very strong to face these predatory powers, these Lions. But the message is again, “yes, I can see this”. Trying to act with that knowledge. Whether its to just scream and shout or whatever. Making your own choices, or knowing that you can’t.”

It all gears things up nicely ahead of Pumarosa’s debut album ‘The Witch’ – set to land in the world on May 19th. Full of stunning moments, you can check in on our feature chat with vocalist Isobel detailing the story behind the album in this month’s magazine (out on Friday). Ahead of the album’s release, the band will head to The Great Escape next week (May 18th) along with further appearances at this years’ Blissfields and Reading & Leeds across the next few months.
