After taking over Brixton Academy with a stunning programme of performances and exhibitions across seven nights, The xx are set to bring Night + Day to Iceland this July for three days of incredible music across the board.
Taking place between July 14th-16th at Skógafoss (a stunning waterfall location in the country), the festival is set to include appearances from The xx and Jamie xx (of course), along with slots from Sampha, Warpaint, Earl Sweatshirt, Jagwar Ma, Floating Points, Robyn (appearing with a DJ set alongside Mr Tophat), Marching Church, Giles Peterson and many more.
Talking about the festival, which ties nicely into latest album ‘I See You’ after parts were recorded in nearby Reykjavík, the band said: “We fell in love with Iceland while recording some of I See You there a few years ago, We are so looking forward to returning and bringing some of our friends, from near and far.”
Tickets for the festival are available here – with The xx set to return to the UK for sets at this year’s Glastonbury and Bestival.
